Acceptable Use Policy

In short
  • Only translate content you own or have permission to use.
  • No impersonation, deepfakes or deceptive use of translated voices.
  • Nothing illegal, abusive or exploitative.
  • One account per person — don’t game free credits or attack the Service.

1. Scope

This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everything you submit to, create with or do on mydubly. Because we do not keep your files, you are responsible for making sure your use follows it.

2. Only process what you have the right to

  • Do not upload, translate or redistribute films, shows, music, courses or other content that is protected by copyright unless you own it, have permission, or your use is clearly allowed by law (for example personal study or accessibility where permitted).
  • Do not record or process private conversations without the consent the law requires, or use the Service to get around paywalls or access restrictions.

3. Voices, impersonation and deception

  • Do not use translated voices or transcripts to impersonate a real person, mislead people about who said what, or create deceptive media (deepfakes), including political disinformation or fraudulent endorsements.
  • If you publish dubbed or translated content, do not present it as the speaker’s own words in a way that misrepresents them. We recommend labelling it as machine-translated.

4. Illegal and harmful content

Do not use the Service for content or activity that:

  • sexually exploits or endangers children, in any form — we report it to the authorities;
  • promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or incites violence;
  • harasses, threatens, defames or doxxes anyone, or promotes hatred against protected groups;
  • shares someone’s intimate images or private information without consent;
  • supports fraud, scams, phishing or other crimes;
  • breaks the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, or the laws of the place where you live.

5. Protect the Service

  • Do not create multiple accounts or use fake identities to collect free or bonus credits.
  • Do not probe, scan or test our systems for vulnerabilities, or get around authentication, rate limits, credit checks or file limits. (If you find a security issue, please report it to support@mydubly.com — thank you.)
  • Do not overload the Service, use bots or scripts to access it without our written permission, or scrape it.
  • Do not upload malware or files designed to harm our systems or other users.
  • Do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or build a competing service from the Service, except where the law allows it.

6. Enforcement

If we become aware of a breach, we may cancel jobs, remove credits obtained by abuse, suspend or close the account, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Where it is lawful and practical we will tell you and give you a chance to respond.

7. Report a problem

To report misuse of the Service, content that infringes your rights, or a security issue, email support@mydubly.com with as much detail as you can. Copyright complaints should identify the work, where it appeared and confirm you are the owner or authorised to act for them. We acknowledge reports within 24 hours. See Contact & Grievances.
