ElevenLabs figures from its dubbing documentation and pricing pages, checked 5 October 2026.

Prices from ElevenLabs' own pages

ElevenLabs prices dubbing two ways. Its API price list charges per minute: Dubbing v2 at $2.20 a minute across 92 languages, and the older v1 at $0.33 a minute with a watermark or $0.50 without, across twenty-nine languages. Its app plans use credits: automatic dubbing costs 2,000 credits a minute with a watermark or 3,000 without, and Dubbing Studio 5,000 or 10,000. Starter is $6 a month for 30,000 credits, which on those rates is about 10 minutes of watermark-free automatic dubbing. The documentation says Dubbing v2 is the default for automatic dubbing, so which model you use decides what you pay.

mydubly charges 50 credits per dubbed minute at $1 per 1,000 credits, with no subscription. Top-ups are charged in Indian rupees at the day's exchange rate through Cashfree Payments (UPI, cards or netbanking), about ₹96 for 1,000 credits. Each top-up lasts 30 days, so buy what the next project needs and top up again for the one after.

Arithmetic from the listed prices

ElevenLabs Dubbing v2 by API: 30 × $2.20 = $66. ElevenLabs v1 without a watermark: 30 × $0.50 = $15. mydubly: 1,500 credits ($1.50).

These figures cover the dub only. Your own time for reviewing and fixing the result can matter more than the price, which is where the editing differences below come in.

Editing and control

ElevenLabs' documentation says Dubbing v2 is automatic with no in-app editor, and that Dubbing Studio, its editor for adjusting transcripts, timing and voices, runs on v1 only and is in maintenance mode with critical bug fixes only. mydubly opens every finished dub in its dub editor: you correct a line's words, move its timing, change its level, the background, the cleanup of leftover original speech or the loudness, style the subtitles, and re-process once. Only lines whose words or delivery changed are voiced again, at 50 credits per minute of those lines with a 25-credit minimum; everything else is free. It edits the dub mydubly made rather than a script you bring, and it has no voice library to swap voices from.

Voices and speakers

Both tools aim to keep each speaker sounding like themselves. In mydubly, up to 8 speakers are told apart and each gets a translated voice copied from about 10 seconds of their own clean speech; someone who speaks for less than about 3 seconds gets the copied voice of a similar-sounding speaker or a stock voice. Lines are placed where the original was spoken and sped up by at most 1.15× when the translation runs long. Background music and effects are separated and kept under the new voices. Panels, game shows or crowd scenes with more than 8 distinct speakers fit ElevenLabs' 32-speaker limit better.

What happens to your video

With mydubly, the picture never leaves your browser. Only the audio is sent over HTTPS for transcription, translation and voicing, and the dub's audio, script and voice files are deleted 120 minutes after it finishes or after you last use the editor; the translated audio is combined with your original picture on your own device. For ElevenLabs' retention and processing terms, read its own privacy policy and terms rather than relying on a summary.

Stay with ElevenLabs if

  • You need a dubbing language mydubly doesn't voice, such as Tamil, Indonesian or Ukrainian. Czech and Vietnamese are subtitle-only languages in mydubly.
  • Your files run past 2 hours, or have more than 8 speakers.
  • You want to paste a YouTube or TikTok link instead of uploading a file.
  • You need an API, a voice library to choose voices from, or ElevenLabs' text-to-speech tools.

  2. Pick a clip up to 2 minutes long with clear speech, ideally one you've already dubbed elsewhere so you can compare.
  3. Choose the target language and switch "Full translation output" on.
  4. Listen for each speaker's voice, the pacing in dense passages and the background mix, and read the translated transcript for names and numbers.

Choosing an AI voice and the AI dubbing quality checklist give a structured way to compare the two results. Indian buyers comparing several tools in rupees can use AI dubbing prices in India.

Using the tool on this page

  • The spoken language is detected automatically across about 100 languages; you can pin it, or pick one of 21 languages to translate into. Files can be up to 2 hours long.
  • Only the audio is sent for processing — the video stays on your device. The finished dub opens in the dub editor, where you can correct words, timing, levels, background and subtitles and re-process only what changed. Its files are deleted 120 minutes after you last use the editor (how files are protected).
  • You can download a translated video that keeps your music and effects, the translated audio as M4A, a transcript and subtitles (SRT and VTT). Every output, step and limit is explained on the AI dubbing page.
