Why it helps
Short-form audiences are global, and a clip that performed in one language often works in another. Translating your top performers is the quickest test.
Step by step
- Use the original export from your editor, not a re-downloaded copy, for the best audio.
- Translate it, then add the SRT as captions in the app's editor.
Tips
- Translated speech may run longer; the voice speeds up slightly to fit, but very dense clips may sound rushed.
- Several shorts in one file are billed as one job — combine clips to avoid paying the 2-minute minimum on each.
Example
A fitness creator combines four 30-second Reels into one file and translates them into Spanish for 100 credits (10¢).
Cost: 100 credits (10¢).
Limitations to know
- No link import from social apps.
- The 2-minute minimum applies per file for translated voice.
Using the tool on this page
- The spoken language is detected automatically; you select the output language — the spoken language itself for an untranslated transcript, or another language for a translation. Files can be up to 2 hours long.
- Only the audio is sent for processing — the video stays on your device — and audio and text are deleted within 30 minutes of delivery (how files are protected).
- You can download a translated video that keeps your music and effects, the translated audio as M4A, a transcript and subtitles (SRT and VTT). Every output, step and limit is explained on the video translator page.
